Wine characteristics
With age it acquires a garnet red colour with orangey tints, and complex and intense aromas of brushwood and ripe fruit. The initial tartness and sharpness are immediately softened with slow, prolonged refinement in oak casks, which makes it balanced, smooth and velvety with notes of liquorice, leather and tobacco. A strong and intense wine. It is the ideal accompaniment to roast meat and cheese, but also excellent alone. Best served at room temperature 16-18° C.
